AY RESEARCH FUNDING AWARD: $2,000.00 for Fall 2021 & Spring 2022
Due to the COVID-19 campus travel restrictions implemented in 2020 - 2021, UROC-H has decided to reallocate unused student travel funds to support academic year research for UROC-H scholars who have completed UROC's Summer Undergraduate Research Institute (SURI) and are still enrolled as full-time students at UC Merced.
DEADLINES TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL:
Fall 2021 - September 30th
Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 - September 30th (stipends will be disbusred seperatly, each semester)
Spring 2022 - November 30th
Eligibility:
- UROC-H Scholar
- Completed UROC SURI
- Enrolled full-time at UC Merced
- Endorsed by Faculty Mentor
- Research must NOT conflict with scholar's academic year studies

Award Recipient Expectations:
- Awardees MUST ATTEND MONTHLY MEETINGS with UROC-H Coordinator
- Awardees MUST PRESENT their research at UC Merced's Research Week in Spring 2022
- Awardees MUST SUBMIT A FINAL RESEARCH PAPER to UROC Prior to Graduation
- For Research Activities Involving Human Subjects, Applicants Must Seek IRB Approval From the Office of Research Compliance and Integrity
