
The CV PATH Research Experience is a collaborative summer research opportunity for students from Bakersfield College and CSU Bakersfield to conduct faculty-mentored research.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS:
UCM Program Dates: May 31st, 2026 - July 31st, 2026
- 9-week paid residential summer research experience
- Research available to students in all disciplines at UC Merced
- Fully paid residential program at UC Merced (housing and meal plan)
- Faculty networking and mentorship
- Professional development workshops
- Participation in a fall research symposium to present research
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Enrolled student at Bakersfield College or CSU Bakersfield
- Completed at least 12 units
- Be in good academic standing with your college; 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- Actively pursuing a transfer path at BC or interested in graduate/professional school after graduation from CSUB
- Completed or currently taking transfer-level English and Math
- Be a US citizen or a student who can have legal working status in the US is eligible, as we will be hiring CV PATH students to pay them
*High school dual enrollment or concurrent enrollment students are not eligible
