Scholars Transforming Through Research 2026 - 2027

Do you want to translate your research into meaningful civic impact? Interested in using your research to drive policy solutions and shape a better future? Check out this unique opportunity!

UROC will be teaming up with up to four UC Merced undergraduates to participate in the Scholars Transforming Through Research: Where Research Meets Civic Impact program offered by the Council on Undergraduate Research. Students from all disciplines who have conducted research may express interest.

The program prepares undergraduate researchers to become leaders in a changing world. Participants learn to communicate the value of research and connect their work to real-world challenges. They also develop skills for engaging decision-makers, community leaders, and the public.

UROC will provide logistical support, and Dr. Anil Menon from the Political Science Department will serve as the Faculty Representative.
