Endocrine Society Summer Research

Dear student,

Welcome to The Endocrine Society! As you are a new in-training associate member, I would like to let you know about the society’s summer research, career development and educational opportunities. I hope you will take part.

  • The Minority Access Program (MAP) is for undergraduate students from underrepresented minority groups who have at least two summers left in their undergraduate programs. It offers two years of summer research internships, long-term mentoring and attendance at two of the society’s annual meetings and expos. The society covers travel, room, board and a stipend. Application deadline: Jan. 31, 2014.
  • The Society’s Summer Research Fellowship (SRF) program is open to all undergraduate students who are in their third year of schooling or beyond, all medical students who are beyond their first year of schooling, and all first-year graduate students regardless of background. In addition to supporting a year of summer research, the SRF provides a stipend and funding for travel, room and board to attend the society’s annual meeting and expo. Application deadline: Feb. 28, 2014.

View more information on other opportunities the society has to offer.

If you have questions about the society, its programs or about your career goals, please reach out to me, Robert Dearth, at dearthrk@utpa.edu. As a Minority Affairs Committee member, I am happy to answer your questions.

Sincerely,

Professor Robert K. Dearth
