Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities National Internship Program (HNIP)
The HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) assists students by placing them in corporate and government internships across the country. These internships are closely related to the student’s academic background and/or career goals. The program provides airfare, housing arrangement and a weekly stipend of $470 to $570. Applications for the Summer 2015 program are currently being accepted. The deadline to apply is February 27, 2015.
Eligibility Requirements:
· Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
· Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution. Students pursuing only a credential or certificate will be considered ineligible. If you are a student graduating in May or June, you may apply for the spring and summer programs of the year you graduate. Students graduating in December are not eligible to apply to any of the programs that directly follow their graduation.
· Have completed freshman year of college before the internship begins.
· Be authorized or eligible to work in the United States by law.
Current most sought out majors by participating public and private organizations: All Ag. majors, All Business majors, Psychology, Public Health, Communications, Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) majors.
**Note: You do not have to be Hispanic in order to apply.
