I wanted to alert you to a great opportunity at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine that will appeal to some of your graduating science students interested in research.
The Case PREP is designed for recent underrepresented minority college graduates to work as a scientific apprentice in a cutting-edge laboratory for up to two years at our research intensive institution. PREP scholars will also complete tailored science and math coursework, GRE workshops, as well as participate in professional and personal development activities. The goal of the Case PREP is to inform and prepare scholars for entry into PhD training programs and successful careers in biomedical science. Currently, we have a greater than 80% success rate at placing talented PREP Scholars into PhD and MD/PhD programs at Johns Hopkins, Michigan, Vanderbilt, U Penn, Emory, Pitt, UNC-Chapel Hill, CWRU and others. We are delighted to offer this program, and wish to invite your students to apply. You may learn more about this opportunity at the http://gradresed.case.edu/prep website.
I hope you will personally share or forward this announcement to students who might be interested in such a program. The website includes program information and an online application, and please feel free to contact me if you have additional questions.
With Warmest Personal Regards,
Paul
