Note- you may be able to get a virtually FREE Ph.D. from Emory University !
My name is Damon Williams and I am the Director of Diversity, Community, and Recruitment for the Laney Graduate School. We provide doctoral students with financial support in the form of stipends, tuition waivers, and health insurance supplements. The minimum stipend amount is $18,000, but most departments pay more, especially in science and engineering disciplines. The Emory Diversity Fellowship is awarded to applicants who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and who will contribute to the development of a richly diverse student body. To be considered for the EGDF, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who plan to pursue a program of doctoral study. The fellowship covers all tuition and fees for five years and provides a $5,000 supplement to the standard program stipend for up to five years.
As part of our retention efforts, we also hold community-building, mentoring, and professional development activities for our doctoral scholars. The link below outlines some of our professional development opportunities here at Emory University.
