Research Opportunity Listings

The UC Irvine Bridge to the Doctorate (BD) is funded by the National Science Foundation and provides graduate fellowships for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) graduate students from underrepresented minority populations. Beginning Fall 2015, the UCI-BD will support 12 newly enrolled Ph.D. students during their first two years of doctoral studies. The cohort will receive guaranteed support for an additional three years, contingent upon satisfactory progress in their degree programs. The BD will support LSAMP students exclusively.

THE PREP (Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program) is a unique opportunity for groups underrepresented in the biomedical or behavioral sciences who hold a recent bachelor’s degree in science to conduct research as lab technicians for one year at the University of Chicago.  Participants in the PREP must intend to pursue a PhD degree upon completion of this Program.
